ਸਿਰਫ ਉਹ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਜੋ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਹੋਰ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਵਾਸ ਕਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਫਾਰ ਡਿਸਟੈਂਸ ਐਂਡ ਔਨਲਾਈਨ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ (ਸੀਡੀਓਈ) ਵਿੱਚ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਨੂੰ ਪਰਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। / Only those students who have migrated from other universities or colleges affiliated with Punjabi University and have been officially transferred to the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) are considered migrated students.

ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ CDOE ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਜਾਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਅਗਲੇ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਜਾਂ ਸਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਤਰ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ Gap Year ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਿਯਮਤ (Regular) ਜਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਈਵੇਟ (Private) ਕੋਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ CDOE ਵਿੱਚ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਦਾਖਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਵੀ Gap Year ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। / Students who take admission in the first semester or first year at CDOE but have a gap in their studies before appearing in the next semester or year are considered gap year students. In addition, if a student first takes admission in a regular or private course and later joins CDOE from the third semester onward, they will also be considered as gap year students.

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਰਜਿਸਟਰਡ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਰਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਨੰਬਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼-ਪੱਧਰ ਦੇ ਦਾਖਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ, ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਦੀ ਥਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੋਰਡ ਰਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਨੰਬਰ ਦਰਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। / Students already registered with Punjabi University must provide their university registration number. For entry-level admissions, students should not enter any board registration number in its place.
